Through internships, opportunities to earn valuable college credits while still in high school, and summer programs at top-ranked universities, students are well-prepared and supported in their college journeys. KIPP Forward’s career-readiness programming offers students the opportunity to learn valuable skills like writing a resume, mock interviews, and more.
KIPP Newark alumni are 3x more likely to graduate from college. A 2023 study by Mathematica showed that KIPP middle and high school students are 31% more likely to complete college than their peers who did not attend KIPP. The study found the effect was great enough to nearly close college completion gap between Black and Hispanic students and their peers.
Reaching All Students In NewarkKIPP New Jersey Public Schools are free and serve all students regardless of special needs, past attendance, grades, or any other factor. There is no test to get in; admission is via Newark’s Common App.
ExtracurricularOur schools offer rich extracurricular programs. From athletics teams and dance classes, to photography or robotics club, our students are encouraged to discover their passions, connect to their communities and become lifelong learners.
